Samhain II

Samhain is believed to have Celtic/Neolithic origins. As at Beltane, special bonfires were lit, which were deemed to have cleansing powers, and there were rituals involving them. Samhain was seen as a liminal time, when the boundary between this world and the other world could more easily be crossed.
