The Night After the Volcano

This photograph was taken on the evening after the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokull erupted in 2010. I thought the ash in the atmosphere would make for an unusual red sunset over the sea and I wasn't disappointed. In fact, this picture was taken some time after the sun had gone down.
